CRAIG R. ANDERSON is a member of the firm, was born in Bergen, Norway, and grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. His first area of academic interest was history, and he graduated with a B.A. in history from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1992. Craig graduated with distinction from St. Olaf's history department, and wrote his senior thesis on death and funerary art in Early Modern Europe. He graduated from St. Olaf College magna cum laude, and was admitted as a member in Phi Beta Theta.
Mr. Anderson attended law school at the University of Minnesota where he found time for studying between his attendance at every home men's basketball and hockey game. While at the University of Minnesota, Craig was a student director of the civil practice clinic, and worked as a law clerk and student attorney at the Ramsey County public defender's office. The job at the public defender's office gave Mr. Anderson his first taste of litigation work, and he embarked on a litigation career after he graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1996. Craig moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and worked as a Deputy District Attorney. He then entered the field of workers' compensation, and began as an associate with the firm in September 1999. He enjoys focusing on compensability cases in workers' compensation. Craig is a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, and is a member of Professionals in Workers' Compensation.
When he is away from his desk, Craig enjoys hiking, playing percussion and his drum set, reading fiction (especially mysteries), listening to music (currently Interpol, My Chemical Romance, and Sleater-Kinney are his favorite groups), playing fantasy sports with friends, cheering for the Avalanche, Rockies, and Broncos, and eating really good food. Craig's goal for the next year is to run a marathon. |
