CHRISTOPHER W. CRABTREE joined the firm in July 2007. He received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Social Sciences, and an Asian Studies Minor, from Colorado State University in 1987. He also attended and was an honor student in the Semester at Sea program through the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Denver in December of 1994. Prior to commencing his practice of law, Mr. Crabtree worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as the litigation claims manager, a claims supervisor, and technical claims specialist handling all lines of insurance claims.
During the course of his legal career, Mr. Crabtree has represented clients in numerous legal matters in various areas of law including workers' compensation, personal injury, employment, general liability, construction defect, and insurance bad faith law. Mr. Crabtree now concentrates his practice in the area of workers' compensation defense and related matters. He is also a regular speaker at various seminars relating to workers' compensation, employment, and insurance bad faith law.
Mr. Crabtree is licensed to practice law in Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, Workers' Compensation Section, and is active in Professionals in Workers' Compensation. In 1996, the Professionals in Workers' Compensation organization nominated Mr. Crabtree for Respondent Attorney of the Year where he became one of three finalists.
Mr. Crabtree is married with three children all of whom are active in various sports, music and drama activities. He enjoys traveling, reading, running, sports, yoga and karate.
