MARCUS J. ZARLENGO joined the firm in July of 2009 and focuses his practice on workers' compensation law. Mr. Zarlengo received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2000 and graduated cum laude from the Northern Illinois University College of Law with his Juris Doctor degree in 2005.

Mr. Zarlengo is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Illinois. He is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association.

In addition to his experience representing clients in the area of workers' compensation defense, Mr. Zarlengo also has represented clients in the areas of general civil litigation and Social Security law. He has represented clients before state and federal courts, as well as handled numerous administrative hearings and appeals. His background also includes handling cases involving a variety of unique medical and vocational issues from both the plaintiff and defendant perspective.

Mr. Zarlengo is the author of "Issues and Concerns when Settling Title VII Claims Involving Illinois Local Governments" (July 2005), and "County Home Rule: Burden or Blessing for Municipalities?" (June 2004); both articles published in the DCBA Brief, The Journal of the DuPage County Bar Association. Mr. Zarlengo also currently serves as a paralegal instructor.

Mr. Zarlengo is a third generation Colorado native who enjoys spending time outdoors and researching and reading Colorado history.
