LYNDA S. NEWBOLD is an Attorney at Ruegsegger Simons & Stern, LLC. Ms. Newbold joined the firm in 2007. She focuses her practice on litigation, with an emphasis on workers’ compensation matters, primarily defense of employers and insurers. She has over 30 years of experience handling all aspects of workers’ compensation matters, including complex claims analysis, extensive litigation and appeals. Her experience includes a two year clerkship for Justice Harry T. Lemmon at the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Ms. Newbold is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. She is a past Chairperson of the Executive Council of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Colorado Bar Association and currently serves as the treasurer of that organization. Ms. Newbold has been recognized as a 5280 Top Lawyer by 5280 Magazine each year from 2017 to 2021. She has instructed employers and insurers on safety and workers’ compensation issues and has lectured at a number of Continuing Legal Education seminars on advanced workers’ compensation topics.
Ms. Newbold was born in Monroe, Louisiana. She enjoys travel, gardening, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
