MICHELE STARK CAREY is an Attorney at Ruegsegger Simons & Stern, LLC. Ms. Carey joined the firm in 2003. Her practice involves all matters of workers’ compensation defense, including appeals, litigation, and Medicare Secondary Payer compliance. Ms. Carey has successfully argued at the Colorado Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals.
Ms. Carey is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, New Mexico Bar Association, and Texas Bar Association. She is also a member of the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals. Ms. Carey has given several talks on Medicare secondary payer compliance and has presented at the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals’ Annual Conference. While at Baylor Law School, she was the president of Phi Delta Phi, and a member of the Order of Barristers.
Michele was born in Oklahoma City, OK. She enjoys spending time with her family, fly-fishing, skiing, and hiking. She is also active in several charitable organizations.
